Really can't say if there's a God.
But I'm pretty sure if there is, God doesn't get involved in our lives.
But perhaps I need to rethink all that.
At the very least, God -- or Mother Nature -- seems to have an excellent sense of irony.
Thought about that after reading a Weather Channel report about a satellite, promising a significant advance in weather forecasting, awaiting an early November launch.
But first it must get past Mathew.
"NASA will be also keeping a close eye on the safety of the $1.2 billion GOES-R satellite, housed at the space center and awaiting a Nov. 4 launch. This satellite is expected to revolutionize weather forecasting, providing much more data than is currently available to meteorologists, but it has to survive Hurricane Matthew first."
If you are of a certain age, you may remember a margarine commercial that ended with "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature."
Maybe all that Greek mythology wasn't so mythological.
