Trump has banned travel to America from seven Muslim-majority nations: Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia and Libya.
But he did not ban travel from six other Muslim-majority nations that have business ties to Trump: Azerbaijan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
It's difficult to keep all of Trump's slimy and sleazy conflicts of interest in order and in focus.
But this one is important because it is clear and easy to understand.
It is also solid ground for impeachment -- and removal from office.
I would humbly suggest the continued use of something similar to the following when discussing the travel ban;
". . . which affects seven countries with Muslim majorities but does not affect six other such nations which have business ties to Trump."
One other thing.
Six of those banned nations are countries in which the U.S. has bombed or otherwise killed civilians.
Yet, as The Atlantic reports, none of those countries produced someone who killed anyone in America for at least 40 years.
But several of those countries ignored by Trump -- in addition to being places where Trump makes money -- harbored terrorists who actually killed Americans.
Which can lead to only one conclusion:
This talk about protecting the United States is just another lie -- one that attempts to hide the fact that Trump puts his greed before the safety and lives of Americans.
