Forget perjury or obstruction of justice, Sessions needs to be promptly arrested and charged with laughing.
It's only fair.
After all that's what happened when Desiree Fairooz, according to the Huffington Post, dared to laugh "at Sen. Richard Shelby’s (R-Ala.) claim that Sessions had a clear, well-documented and 'extensive record of treating all Americans equally under the law.' "
In a remarkably -- and suspiciously -- speedy trial, Fairooz was convicted of her "offense," which really was about her protest over being removed from the hearing.
I guess those bulldog Justice Department lawyers have never heard of the "fruit of the vine" concept in which evidence resulting from illegal or unconstitutional behavior by police or the prosecution can't be used.
And if there ever was a case of unconstitutional behavior it was the treatment of Fairooz after she dared to laugh.
So it's time to handcuff Sessions and put him on trial.
And face it, having a convict as Trump's attorney general just seems right.
