How else can we explain his gross ignorance of geography.
He recently complained about a judge's ruling against Trump's Muslim ban by complaining that the judge was from "an island in the Pacific." While true enough, he seems to have forgotten that the island is one of the United States.
Either that or he was using coded language to mean a place full of people who don't look like white people from Alabama.
(For which I suspect most Hawaiians are quite happy.)
Well, Clueless Jeff strikes again.
According to an AP report by Elliot Spagat in the Seattle Times, Sessions jumped all over the San Diego community of Escondido as a place, because it supposedly doesn't cooperate with federal immigration officials, is a hotbed of immigrant-related gang crimes:
“As you know too well here, Escondido’s gang violence has jumped recently between two violent gangs warring for turf — more shootings, more guns, more terrorized neighborhoods. Sanctuary jurisdictions have put known gang members back on the streets to join the Westside gang in Escondido.”
The federal government has applauded the city for its cooperation with immigration authorities.
And the crime rate has been stable, and sometimes even dropping:
Said Police Chief Craig Carter: “We had nothing I’m seeing as a spike or increase.”
Perhaps Sessions had some other community in mind.
But he or anybody else has yet to come up with that other place.
Probably because it doesn't exist.
Which maybe explains why he forget he met with those Russians.
Maybe he thought Russia is part of America.
And given Trump, probably won't be much longer before America is part of Russia.
