The Times, of course, is hardly alone in this If-we-say-it-enough-it-will-happen attempt at journalism. And this most recent embarrassment is a bit passive aggressive as the Times cites AP.
But it's just a bit more foul smelling than usual as it takes place before the polls have even opened in California.
For the record, super delegates remain undeclared until the convention.
The Times has been running free advertising for Clinton while hammering Bernie Sanders for a long time, from even before she officially declared.
Here's just one example.
If the Times simply bothered to charge Clinton the going rate for all this free advertising, who knows, it might actually turn a profit.
